As a talented young producer and musician, John Raham has much to offer the artists he works with. His success as a producer/engineer with JUNO nominated album (Be Good Tanyas – Hello Love) and a rash of rave reviews from taste-maker blogs like PITCHFORK, displays not only his high caliber production skills but his diversity as well. Whether it’s smart pop, indie rock, acoustic folk/roots, classic soul, or avant jazz, he works with the artist to make sure it comes out right.

Now at age 39, John has his own studio – Afterlife (formerly Ogre Studios) – a fully equipped facility on Vancouver’s False Creek. Here he combines the best of old and new technology for a unique sonic experience. From the classic analog sound of his Ampex mm1200 16 track 2 inch tape machine to the latest digital tools, the sonic possibilities are inspiring. John’s practical and theoretical knowledge of the music of many cultures, combined with a vast pool of talented musicians at his fingertips, and his own marriage of creativity and technology, make him one of the city’s most exciting young producers.
